When a force is applied to a substance, it permeates to it's internal body where a multitude of atoms are arranged in a definite or indefinite manner. The force applied causes electrons to move
From higher to lower as well as lower to higher energy orbits. When this force is appled in a desirable manner, it causes a large number of higher energy electrons to descend to lower energy orbits, when, cold light is emmitted.
