Biography:
Dr. Bala Radhakrishnan is a Distinguished Research Staff in the Computational Science and Mathematics Division at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, USA. He has roughly 20 years of experience in utilizing HPC for the modeling of processing-microstructure- property linkages in structural and functional alloys using various techniques such as Monte Carlo, phase field, crystal plasticity and molecular dynamics, and inverse modeling using multi- objective optimization techniques. Recently, he is serving as a component lead for mesoscale modeling and is the main developer for the MEUMAPPS (Microstructure Evolution Using Massively Parallel Phase-field Simulations) phase field code in the Exascale Computing Project, ExAM led by ORNL.
